Editorial Review
This awesome light is much brighter and lights up the road farther ahead than I thought it would. It has a 300 lumen LED output and a crossbeam design that makes it possible to cover a wider viewing area. Some of the roads I ride home on have lots of potholes and it's great to be able see them well in advance so I can figure out how to avoid them in plenty of time. With the MityCross as a headlight and a taillight on the back I feel safer knowing that cars can see me as well. Weighing just 240 grams this compact light shines with a brilliance that's hard to beat for the price. I found it easy to install and it sits well even on my oddly shaped handlebars. Last winter I used other lights that were not nearly as bright, and some flipped around while I was riding either pointing upwards or straight down. It was scary to suddenly not see the road in front of me. I feel much safer and confident riding with the MityCross. There are six brightness/flashing settings. One being an SOS, which I think is a great idea. I like to use the flash settings during dusk or rainy/snowy weather. My light got rained on one day and it was fine. It's weatherproof and will not let you down when you need it most. The light stays in place and provides a wide and long visual field. I highly recommend the MityCross and I plan to never to be without one again. Reader Reviews

Although the light is small, the beam is bright and has a large illumination area, ensuring that I can see the road far in front of me and that cars on the road can see me. I like the compact, two LED design, giving good area coverage for a small light. The body of the light appears to be made of aluminum. It feels sturdy. The mounting for the light is awesome and super easy but still extremely secure. The battery pack is also nice and small. I was also looking for good battery life for longer rides and I haven't been disappointed. The one time I even started to run low on battery was because I forgot to recharge it the night before. It lasts a long time, especially if you use the different beam settings. (Report Abuse) Review By bikr43, Rides for Transportation:I use this light year round for commuting. I ride 17 miles one way through a mix of two lane highway, wooded trails and city streets. This is an excellent light: very bright, good beam width, very light (mine is helmet mounted). Max power is more powerful than most new car's low beams. Electrical connections could be better in terms of keeping moisture out but I have ridden in many downpours without issue. Can not be beat for the price (Report Abuse) Review By Superfox, Rides for Fitness:I have ridden with this light for about 2 months. I use it exclusively on the road. I previously rode with a 1W light, which is just bright enough to allow you to see whatever you are about to hit. This light is very bright, feels like a car headlight, with great illumination to front and sides. It was very easy to mount on oversize handlebar, and very solid connection. The battery lasts about 2-3 hours on highest setting. My only complaint is the battery indicator and charger seem a bit finicky. I finished one ride and plugged in to charger, indicator suggested full charge. The next morning it went almost immediately dark (you get about 20 sec of flashing light warning - then total darkness). Fortunately I was close to home. I now make sure to check at night prior to ride, and charge if needed. Sometimes I must plug and unplug charger a couple times before it indicates "red" and charges. I also carry a backup light in my jersey, but no further problems. I highly recommend this light. (Report Abuse)
