Bike Apparel ReviewsRapha
Swift Jersey
MSRP: $100
Bicycling Review
Issue: Apr 2010
Page: 62 Editorial Review
The Swift is named for a type of bird that roosts near Rapha's U.S. base, in Portland, Oregon, each fall. Key stats: The jersey is 60 percent polyester and 40 percent merino wool. It offers a slightly trimmer, racier fit than Rapha's other jerseys (pick your size accordingly) and sports a quarter-zip with ribbed collar and cuffs. The winged designs are made of real felt "flocking" (in the argot of fabric makers), a term that's never been more apt.
Buy It: If you enjoy subtly breaking ranks with the sensibility of the peloton Forget It: If you think ornithology is for Charlie Parker fans, not cyclists
